These terms form the agreement between you and [YOUR NAME OR REGISTERED COMPANY NAME] when you use StepUp ST4. Please read them before subscribing.
StepUp ST4 is operated by [YOUR NAME OR REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], of [BUSINESS ADDRESS, INCLUDING POSTCODE], United Kingdom.
You can contact us at [SUPPORT@YOURDOMAIN.COM]. We aim to reply to all enquiries within two working days.
StepUp ST4 is an educational preparation resource for doctors applying to ST4 Higher Specialty Training in the UK physician specialties. It provides practice questions, model answers, structured topic material, timed mock interview tools and a portfolio self-assessment.
It is not clinical guidance. Nothing on this site should be used to make decisions about the care of a real patient. Always follow current NICE guidance, the BNF, Royal College guidance and your local trust protocols, and exercise your own clinical judgement.
We are independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to NHS England, the Physician Higher Specialty Training (PHST) recruitment office, JRCPTB, the Royal Colleges of Physicians, or any deanery or statutory body. Interview formats, scoring frameworks and competition data are our own summaries of publicly available information and may change between recruitment rounds. You are responsible for checking the official recruitment guidance for your round.
We do not guarantee any outcome. Subscribing does not guarantee an interview, a score, an offer, or a training post.
Because this is digital content supplied online, you normally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel and receive a full refund, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
However, at checkout you are asked to consent to us supplying the content immediately, and to acknowledge that by doing so you lose that 14-day right to cancel. If you give that consent and we begin supplying the content, the statutory 14-day right no longer applies.
If you would prefer to keep your cancellation right, do not give that consent at checkout — your access will begin after the 14-day period instead. Our full refunds and cancellation policy explains this, and the goodwill refunds we offer beyond the statutory minimum.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Your subscription is personal to you. You must not:
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this clause, without refund where the breach is serious or repeated.
All content on StepUp ST4 — questions, model answers, topic material, frameworks, text, design and code — is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use it for your own interview preparation while your subscription is active. No other rights are granted.
Anything you create in the service — your notes, recordings and self-assessment entries — remains yours.
We aim to keep the service available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, and we may add, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you and offer a pro-rata refund for the remainder of your term.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for any breach of your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that: we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on our content in a clinical setting, for any recruitment outcome, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in connection with this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
These terms cover your personal use. If you use the service in the course of a business, our liability for loss of profit, business or opportunity is excluded.
You may cancel at any time as described above. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously breach these terms, if payment fails, or if we stop offering the service — in the last case we will refund the unused portion of your subscription.
If something has gone wrong, email [SUPPORT@YOURDOMAIN.COM] with the details and we will respond within two working days and try to resolve it within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution provider, and you retain the right to bring a claim in court.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund if you do not accept it. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in its courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own local courts.
